It’s that time of year when everyone heads to the seaside for the summer. If there’s one thing we all have one our sexual bucket list, it’s sex on the beach. So sexy, there’s even a cocktail named after it. But how do you actually go about ticking this one off your list?
First of all, we need to all admit sex on the beach isn’t half as sexy and fun as movies and songs and cocktails make it out to be. It’s awkward. It’s not really comfortable. Don’t even get us started on what happens with all that sand. Plus, it can be super illegal.
However, it does feel good being able to tell people you’ve done it. It’s up there with joining the Mile High club for cool sex things to do that doesn’t actually feel good. There’s definitely some guidelines you need to follow to make sex on the beach as enjoyable as possible.
Find a secluded spot
The number one thing to do for a good experience is planning. You can’t do enough planning. Sex on the beach sounds like one of those things that should be sexy and spontaneous, but I promise you the more you plan, the better it will be.
You need to find the perfect spot. Somewhere secluded that offers a bit of cover. You should always plan to do the deed at night. There’s less chance of being caught that way. It’s good to take a walk along your chosen beach in the daytime to try and find possible locations for later. Pick beaches that aren’t as well known or popular with tourists.
Blankets over towels
Everyone has beach towels, and you were probably going to lay one down. You should instead swap your towel for a really big blanket. The bigger the better. Blankets for some reason are just better at keeping sand away than a towel. A picnic blanket that has a plastic underside is the best option.
Do you need a blanket or towel? Well no. But it really helps. Not only does it let you try out more positions without getting sand in your private parts, it’s also great if someone stumbles upon you and you can quickly cover yourself.
Doggy style is king
The best position for sex on the beach is doggy style. This position lets you keep your sensitive parts as far away from the sand as possible. If there are rocks nearby you can also lean against those.
Basically any position where you can be standing or kneeling and not lying down will work best. If you really do want to do lying down positions, make sure you’ve got a good blanket and easy access to running water! Sand in bad places can be absolutely horrible!
