“I used to watch a lot more vanilla stuff. I’m more comfortable with myself now. I grew up in a small town where sex was shameful. But now I understand that it’s nothing to be ashamed of.” -Scarlet Mae
For two women who grew up not watching porn, it might seem a big leap to become porn stars. Yet it’s a regular experience for people who have been in a conservative family to then move away from parental expectations.
Defying cultural principles and rebelling away from strict sexual codes is becoming more and more common. Largely due to the increasing acceptance of alternative lifestyles and career choices.
